Various Foreign Exchange Activities Unfold in School of Law

 


Recently, the School of Law has carried out many exchange activities with foreign universities.

March 24, a London University delegation of three led by vice president Colin Bund arrived at the school and discussed a cooperation program of running a training class.
March 25, Ms. Carolyn and Dr. Wang Nianhua from University of Illinois visited the school. Both sides had talks on joint education of masters of law, as well as the co-sponsored international meeting “the Role of Law in Economic Development” which is to open in December 2005.
March 28, dean of Law School Kenneth Davis and director of East Asia Law Research Institute Charles Irish from University of Wisconsin, a world-renowned institution, arrived on an invitational tour. They talked about various cooperation possibilities in a friendly atmosphere and then signed a joint memorandum. Professor Charles Irish delivered a lecture titled “How to Further Study Law in US” for the school’s student s in the afternoon.
March 29, Professor Neil Cogan and Calvin Peeler from Waty Law School in America paid a visit to the school and expressed their appreciation for this school’s cooperation in the joint program “Sino-US Students’ Summer Camp” which was launched in Zhuhai Campus in 2004 and turned out to be a success. They hope to run another summer camp in 2006.
