University of the West of England Delegation Visits SYSU

A 12-member delegation of the University of the West of England headed by the President Elizabeth Butler-Sloss paid a visit to this university the morning of May 23, 2005. SYSU President Huang Daren, together with Business School Dean Li Xinchun and Liu Chunyang, Vice Director of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, met and talked friendly with them at the Honorable Guest Hall of Zhongshan Building. Both sides introduced their own schools and expressed the willingness to further cooperate.

Located in Bristol, Guangzhou’s friendship city, the University of the West of England, is one of Britain’s most popular universities with more than 23,000 students and a 1,000-strong academic staff. Its history goes back as far as 1595, representing a long well established tradition of first class professional education and training. It is now ranked sixth in Britain for its quality teaching.
