Lingnan Forum Kicks off, Featuring Wu Zhande Couple’s 80 Years of Wisdom

 

A ceremony was held to mark the opening of Lingnan Forum at the Lingnan Hall on the afternoon of June 11, which was followed by a talk show with Wu Zhande couple as the guests. Wu Zhande, Maxim Group Chairman, SYSU honorary doctor and honorary chairman of Lingnan College, and his wife shared their experience and career with nearly 300 students and faculty. As one of SYSU’s distinguished alumni, Wu founded Maxims Group, the biggest catering powerhouse in Hong Kong with international fame. He is also the first one to establish a joint venture in China, holding the business license numbered 001. His outstanding socializing ability and powerful interpersonal network adds a legendary touch to his story of success. In the talk show hosted by Professor Xu Luodan, they talked about their study experience, the beginning and development of their career, building interpersonal network through socializing. A review of their contribution to education brought an end to this evening program.

Aiming to pass on wisdom and enlighten life, Lingnan Forum, is designed to invite leading industry figures and outstanding alumni to exchange ideas on life and career so as to provide a “second classroom” for students. It is planned to open 8 times a year, with each time inviting one to three guests.
