Lingnan MBA Student Wins MTV Movie Award

Network Killing, a DV short written and directed by Fan Yuemin, a Lingnan MBA student, has won Best Thrilling Scene Award in the movie snippet competition—“MTV 2005 Movie Awards, Realizing Your Dream of Becoming A Director”, which was sponsored by MTV International Network. Fan was invited to present at MTV 2005 Movie Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles California. The guests attending this awards presentation include Hollywood household names such as Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman and Dustin Hoffman.

The 5-minute DV short film features a thrilling scene which occurs when an Internet addict had confused the real world with the virtual world. Fan made the short entirely on his own, which is a vivid illustration of Lingnan MBA students’ organizing ability and versatility. He is the only MTV 2005 Movie Awards winner in Mainland China.
