Business School’s Shenzhen EMBA Program Officially Launched
The School of Business presented an opening ceremony for the 2005 Shenzhen EMBA Class on October 29, welcoming another batch of senior executives from areas like Shenzhen and Dongguan to Kangle Garden, the alias of the South Campus. Attendees of the event also included SYSU Vice President Liang Qingyin, Dean of the Business School Li Xinchun and officials from Shenzhen Managers’ College. They expressed their warm welcome to the new students and wished them a very rewarding study experience. When the School released the news that it was going to set up an education base for its EMBA program in Zhenzhen, the local main media all made reports about the School’s new move and held that it would provide a good opportunity for the businessmen there to further their study and have great impact on this area’s high-end education market as well as the economic development. The students of this EMBA class mainly come from Shenzhen and neighboring regions such as Dongguan and Zhuhai, 80 % of whom assume positions of deputy general manager or above. Moreover, compared with other classes, this class enrolls more students from IT industry and manufacturing industry, which highlights Shenzhen as the forefront of China’s reform and opening up campaign and the local government’s priority to develop high-tech enterprises. It’s reported that the 2005 enrolment for the School of Business has ended successfully and the work for 2006 enrolment is in full swing.
