Sino-foreign Culture Lecture Series Presents Confucian Philosophy Talk on Zhuhai Campus

Professor Li Honglei, dean of SYSU Philosophy Department and vice chair of China Confucius Society, delivered a talk in the Sino-foreign Culture Lecture Series on April 27.

His speech, titled “Confucius Harmony Philosophy and Its Application in China”, began with the basic points of Confucius harmony philosophy and their derivative, Chinese “collective subconscious”, exploring the application of Confucius harmony philosophy in the context of contemporary China. “The emergence of harmonious society and world concept is closely related to China’s traditional culture,” said he. “ We should know the reasons behind, so as to make contribution to China’s peaceful rise in the world.” Professor Li’s lecture on harmony philosophy shed light on “harmonious society”, a catch phrase most widely used in today’s Chinese newspaper.
