Science and Technology Counselor to the Embassy of France in China Visits SYSU

 

Accompanied by Mr. Michel Farine and Ms. Zhao Zhuangzhi with French Consulate General in Guangzhou, Bernard Belloc, Counselor for Science and Technology to the Embassy of France in China, paid a visit to Sun Yat-sen University the morning of May 19. SYSU Vice President Xu Ningsheng met and talked with the visiting guests at the Distinguished Room of Zhongshan Building.

During the meeting, Mr. Xu briefed them on the university’s discipline construction and basics of its cooperation with French higher education and research institutes. On the other hand, Mr. Belloc outlined the general guideline and policy concerning the science and technology cooperation between France and China. Both sides also expressed their wish to strengthen relationship and further collaboration in the future.

Belloc’s visit not only promotes this university’s understanding of French universities and relevant research institutes but also makes the French Embassy in China have a better view of the university’s achievements in cooperation with France in recent years, thus laying a foundation for further cooperation between the University and its French counterparts.
