Macao Law Association Visiting SYSU

Macao Law Association visited Sun Yat-sen University on April 10th, 2009. The School of Law’s secretary Yu Hua, vice dean Xu Zhongming and some teacher representatives attended the exchanging seminar.

At the seminar, both sides discussed in depth regarding issues such as Macao's legal system, and legal and cultural exchange between Macao and mainland China, hoping to enhance mutual interaction and cooperation through different aspects. Li Huanjiang, chairman of Macao Psychology Law Society, urged both sides to take advantages of the 10th anniversary of Macao’s return to the motherland and promote professional cooperation. The alumni of class of 1994 expressed their excitement about revisiting their mother school ten years later.

Set up in 2000, as one of Macao’s associations of law and public service, Macao Law Association has always committed to promoting "the Basic Law of Macao" and the judicial and administrative reform. Up to now, the society has 106 members and among them 36 are SYSU graduates. The visit has also received support from Macao’s Liaison Office.
